Network Development and Shared Learning Intern
We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic and motivated intern to support CSC to strenghten and grow its unique global network. You will have an interest in human rights, child rights and/or the NGO sector and a real passion for networking and getting to know the sector. This part time role would work well alongside postgraduate study.
As Network Development and Shared Learning Intern you will help build CSC’s network of members including researching and recruiting new members, maintaining and updating membership databases and helping to run online learning networks and social media. You will help identify opportunities to strengthen and grow the CSC network in order to support the implementation on the UN General Comment on Children in Street Situations.
Skills and areas you will develop:
- Knowledge of the street child sector
- Understanding of rights based approach to street-connected children
- Understanding of international advocacy initiatives
- Understanding of network strategy approaches and relationship building
- Use of complex CRM systems such as Salesforce
- Use of CMS such as WordPress
- Strategic use of social media and understanding of analytics to measure impact
- Business development and membership growth
- Organisation of events
- Administration and data management
Working Hours: part-time, flexible timing 3 days per week
Location: Central London at CSC’s office near Old Street
Expenses: This is an unpaid volunteering opportunity. Reasonable expenses for travel and lunch are reimbursed.
Reporting: direct report to the Network Development Manager
Start date: ASAP
Duration: six months preferred but flexible, minimum three months.

We are looking for someone with excellent financial management skills at the strategic level, who can play the governance role of ensuring that our accounts are well managed and understood by the Board of Trustees. The Treasurer works closely with the Chair, Chief Executive and Finance Manager, and is an integral member of a dynamic group of Board members.
This is an opportunity to use your finance skills for the benefit of street-connected children worldwide. We are a friendly group of Trustees and staff, and look forward to working with a new Treasurer.
