CSC and our partner British Airways

British Airways is one of the world’s leading airlines and partnered CSC through its Community and Conservation programme for over 10 years, until 2016. CSC received support through BA’s flight bursary scheme.

With the support of our flight bursary scheme, CSC is able to undertake vital capacity building and advocacy work, with and on behalf of street-connected children around the world.”

The support we received was invaluable, helping us to gather vital knowledge from street children and represent them in international forums, including the United Nations.

Flights from BA helped CSC to:

• Gather vital learning on issues facing adolescent street girls and pilot our ‘Street Girls Toolkit’ in Zambia, Morocco, Kenya and Peru
• Meet with the United Nations, government missions and key stakeholders in New York in order to advance UN recognition of International Day for Street Children
• Attend international conferences on child protection
• Deliver workshops in Delhi on child rights and influencing government policy
