Summary
This is a co-publication of United Nations Children’s Fund, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Save the Children and World Vision.
Child protection (CP) systems are certain structures, functions and capacities that have been assembled to prevent and respond to violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation of children. In November 2012, more than 130 policymakers, academics, practitioners and other experts committed to CP systems met in New Delhi over four days to:
1) Review and consolidate what has been learned so far about the development and reform of such CP systems;
2) Look at new ideas concerning those systems and explore their relevance; and
3) Outline an agenda for future work on CP systems.
